Copyright Policy

How PdfTechSoft handles copyright claims, how to report infringing material, and how to file a counter notice.

Last Updated: January 1, 2026 Effective Date: January 1, 2025 Reading Time: 5 minutes
Important Notice

PdfTechSoft respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses our tools to do the same. This page explains how we handle copyright concerns and the steps you can take if you believe your work has been used without permission.

1 Our Commitment to Copyright

PdfTechSoft is a set of tools that let people convert, compress, merge, and edit their own files. We do not host a library of documents, we do not publish content on behalf of users, and we do not store the files people process any longer than it takes to complete the requested task. Because of this, most copyright concerns simply do not apply to the way our platform works. That said, we take the subject seriously and want a clear, honest process in place for anyone who has a genuine concern.

2 What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to any claim that material appearing on pdftechsoft.com, such as text, images, or design elements found on our pages, has been copied from someone else's original work without permission. It also covers situations where a user believes another person has uploaded their copyrighted material to our tools in a way that infringes their rights.

It does not apply to the files you personally upload and convert. Those files belong to you, they are processed for your own use, and they are deleted from our servers automatically once your task is finished. We never make user files public or accessible to anyone else.

Files Are Private

Every file you upload to PdfTechSoft is processed privately and removed from our servers shortly after conversion. Because files are never published or shared, copyright disputes over user uploads are extremely rare on a platform built this way.

3 Reporting a Copyright Concern

If you genuinely believe that content on our website infringes a copyright you own, you may send us a written notice. To help us look into your report quickly and fairly, please include as much of the following as you can:

  • Your full name and a way to contact you, such as an email address or postal address
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been used without permission
  • The exact web address or location on pdftechsoft.com where you believe the material appears
  • A short statement explaining why you believe this use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law
  • A statement, made in good faith, that the information in your notice is accurate
  • Your signature, physical or electronic, or the signature of someone authorised to act for you

Reports that are missing key details take longer to review, so the more specific you are, the faster we can respond.

4 How We Review Reports

Once we receive a report we review it to confirm it relates to something we actually control, since we cannot remove content from other websites. If the report concerns our own pages and appears valid, we will remove or correct the material promptly and let you know once this has been done. If a report is vague, incomplete, or clearly mistaken, we will reach out to ask for the missing details before taking any action.

5 Counter Notice

If material belonging to you was removed because of a report and you believe this was a mistake, you may send us a counter notice. Please include your contact details, a description of the material that was removed, the reason you believe the removal was incorrect, and a statement made in good faith confirming this. We will review counter notices in the same careful manner as the original reports.

6 False or Misleading Claims

Please only submit a report if you genuinely and reasonably believe your rights have been infringed. Sending a report that you know to be false or misleading wastes everyone's time and may expose you to legal responsibility under applicable law. We review every report on its own facts and will not act on claims that appear to be made in bad faith.

Please Report Responsibly

Copyright reports are meant for genuine concerns only. Submitting a claim you know to be false, or using this process to silence a competitor or unrelated party, is not something we will act on.

7 Repeat Concerns

Since PdfTechSoft does not host or publish user files, the usual idea of a repeat infringer does not really apply to our platform in the way it might on a site that stores and shares content. If a pattern of misuse involving our own website content is ever identified, we will handle it directly with the person responsible rather than through an automated process.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to keep it accurate and easy to follow. When we make a change, we update the date shown at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally if you want to stay informed of how we handle copyright matters.

9 Contact Us

If you have a copyright concern or need to send a notice, please email us at legal@pdftechsoft.com. For anything else, you are welcome to reach out through our contact page. We aim to respond to every genuine copyright report within a reasonable time.
